"Procession" - 2022 27" x 52" wood, modeling paste, oils
Some passages from our lives are monumental, shifting the sand beneath our feet…
as the supportive pylons that gave us shape give into entropy and depart.
We’re left to gather the pieces, or leave them… to tarry in a space of grief for a time.
As soon as possible we should set aside reflection… blink as needed to clear the vision, and proceed again to the awaiting day.
*A bit of an elegy & encomium to a Romeo & Juliet (my recently deceased parents; 69 years married, their parting 12 days apart)
