Title: "iScream" 2018 Size: 38" x 50" Medium: woods (bass, plywood, poplar, oak), oil paint, Rhoplex & acrylics - SOLD
How precious is our dear earth. I've portrayed our gift as a universally loved confection… caught within absurdly deleterious circumstances - a hot & hostile field of glowing coils. I chose to "frame" the piece conventionally, but hoped to make the frame unconventionally editorial; with it's wacky, carnival-like flavor the frame is intended as an iconoclastic cartoon of a culture that has recklessly imperiled its sweetest of treasures.
Gaia |ˈgīə| 2. the earth viewed as a vast self-regulating organism.
